so from wednesday to friday, I disappeared off on prefect camp to the place where barramundi begins with y, and I can hands down say it was such an emotional and life changing experience. the awfully late nights playing mafia and Daniel's version, ping pong and the futsal machine in the games room, getting to know Pinno and Nicki Minaj, celebrating Cat's bday, and of course listening to the captain speeches....I won't forget it ever.
On the bus back, I hated it, I didn't want to leave Lutanda. I shed more tears than necessary on that camp, and though I think my dignity was a little lost when I was bawling my eyes out, I didn't care; that's what was so significant, I just cried and cried and I didn't care because I was surrounded by wonderful people who were well worth my tears. it was such a big smack in the face when I (all of us!) realised my love and pride for Hurlstone...even sitting here, I'm still feeling teary and nostalgic and most definitely not in the mood to catch up on school work.
Congratulations to Mariel and Kabir for getting Captain; you two will do a most wonderful job leading the school. Congrats to Wendy and Daniel for Vice Captain, and to Danielle and Nick for Senior Prefect. I am so happy for you guys, as the executive team you will do an awesome job, bringing the GOOD change that Hurlstone needs, and I speak on behalf of all the Prefects and Yr 12 that we will be behind you, supporting you until the very end.
So HAHS, watch out. we are the centenary-ian year of Hurlstonians, and we are all gonna make damn sure that we make our mark for the better. I would like to thank each and every Hurlstone prefect, to Nicki Minaj who showed me that he's more than the DONTCHU MESS WITH ME I'M DA DEPUTY (hehe that rhymed xD), to the Lutanda staff who were so hospitable and made our stay wonderful, to Jeanette Nolan for teaching all of us so much and helping us become better people, and last but not least, to Miss Pinnington Wilson, who I would not hesitate to call one of my close friends and even second mother :') thank you all so much.
